Podcast in Millepiani and Flumen Festival

Our team took a training course on podcast production at Millepiani and had its first experience at the Flumen Festival. This podcasting workshop adds a touch of innovation to the TEJIDAS network.

On September 5, at Millepiani’s invitation, our team participated in the “Radio Pata Pata – On Air!” workshop: in the morning, at Millepiani’s headquarters, we worked alongside the other participants to create the project’s trailer and theme music—handling sound, editing, and production—and then shared a communal lunch. We are particularly interested in this training because we are exploring podcasts as another tool for promoting and empowering Latin American women in Europe.

In the afternoon, we headed to Radio Pata Pata’s first “podcast station” at the Flumen Festival—Festival of Ecology, Nonviolence, and Migration—held on September 4 and 5 at the Tourist Port of Rome in Ostia. From the interview gazebo, and with Millepiani’s guidance, we practiced setting up the space, recording techniques, and conducting live interviews. It was our first hands-on experience with the podcast format—a learning experience we’d like to continue developing.
